PARENTS & SIBLING
Angie's parents (Marcheline & Jon) and
brother (James)
Marcheline Bertrand, Angie's beloved
mother and with whom Angie credited with
her love for acting, studied with Lee
Strasberg when she was young, determined
to be an actress herself. But motherhood
came first for Marcheline who gave up
her acting dreams to raise her two
children. Angie had always described her
mother as "a great lady," somebody who
had always with her in auditions and the
ups and downs of her career and personal
life. Aside from her influence in
acting, Marcheline was also the person
Angie looked up to with regards to
helping other people and of course,
being a great mother. Marcheline died
January 2007 after battling ovarian
cancer. Her death deeply affected Angie
& Brad and her brother James but they
still carry on her spirit for their
campaign on cancer research.
James Haven, Angie's older brother, is
also an actor, appearing in several
films and television series. He also
studied filmmaking at USC's School of
Cinema-Television, directing student
films starring Angie. He also been
recently active in charity work together
with his sister.
Jon Voight, the estranged father of
Angie, is an Oscar-winning actor for the
movie Coming Home. He was known early in
his career as a leading man and decades
later a fine character actor. He had
received several award nominations for
his work for both the movies and
television. - JPO |
